Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Sage, a social work graduate student, sister, daughter, and someone who believes there’s beauty and meaning to be found even in the messy, ordinary parts of life. I grew up the youngest of four — Macki, Zack, and Landen — and our family has only grown richer with the arrivals of Reed and Peak, thanks to Macki and Reed. Family is a big part of who I am, and you’ll see their presence woven into this space too.
This blog was born out of a simple desire: to slow down and pay attention. To notice the threads of joy that run through our days, even when they’re hard to see. To share what I’m learning — in my studies, in my relationships, in quiet moments of reflection — and to remind myself and others that peace and joy are not far off, even when life feels heavy.
I value peace, deeply. Not just as an absence of conflict, but as a way of being — steady, present, and rooted in what really matters. Here you’ll find my reflections on what it means to live with peace and purpose, how I see joy show up in unexpected places, and what I’m learning about myself, others, and the world along the way.
I don’t have one single theme or focus here, and I like it that way. You might find stories about family, insights from my social work education, thoughts on faith or justice, or just little glimpses of the outdoors, slow living, and the quiet lessons of everyday life.
Whatever brought you here, I hope you leave feeling a little lighter, a little more seen, and maybe a little more hopeful about your own journey.
Thanks for stopping by — and for being part of this journey.
With joy & peace,
Sage
